Fellowships will support community journalists with grants, capacity building, and tools to produce data-driven investigative stories on issues affecting communities across the country so come and apply here in the ADH Community Journalism Fellowship 2022.

• A Data Journalism Bootcamp will provide training on advanced investigative, data storytelling and mapping techniques to the fellows for the students in the ADH Community Journalism Fellowship 2022. Additionally, journalists will learn how to source, analyze and visualize data in an engaging and compelling manner for the students in the ADH Community Journalism Fellowship 2022.

• Each fellow will receive a grant to support their research for the students in the ADH Community Journalism Fellowship 2022.

• As well as mentoring from mentors, fellows will gain access to the entire ADH community and improve their journalistic skills for the eligible candidates in the ADH Community Journalism Fellowship 2022.
• During the fellowship, the fellows will receive editorial and technical support, including data research and analysis, data visualizations, infographics, and mapping for the students in the ADH Community Journalism Fellowship 2022.

Eligibility Criteria

The following requirements must be met in order to apply for the ADH Community Journalism Fellowship (ACJF) so read it carefully:

1. Nigerian journalists must apply for the ADH Community Journalism Fellowship 2022.
2. Due to the limited number of grants available, the first 10 – 20 pitches will stand the best chance of being considered for the ADH Community Fellowship 2022. The deadline for pitching stories is 21 July to 4 August 2022 for the ADH Community Fellowship 2022.
3. We are looking for pitches that fit our theme for the ADH Community Fellowship 2022.
4. All types of media organizations – international, national, local, and community-based – are encouraged to submit pitches for the ADH Community Fellowship 2022.

Application Procedures

To apply for ADH Community Journalism Fellowship (ACJF), applicants should click the Apply 

1. 250 words is the maximum length for all pitches for the ADH Community Journalism Fellowship 2022.
2. During your pitch, you should emphasize the key issue you would like to focus on, why it is important to the program, and the extent to which it is under-reported for the ADH Community Fellowship 2022.
3. Stories should be pitched in communities in the states where the applicants reside for the ADH Community Fellowship 2022.
4. Participants are expected to attend the 3-day Data Journalism Bootcamp online for the ADH Community Fellowship 2022. Confirmed dates to follow for the ADH Community Fellowship 2022.
5. Please explain why you are the right person to report it and what access you already have for the ADH Community Fellowship 2022.
6. Your story should be accompanied by a letter or email from an editor interested in publishing it for the ADH Community Fellowship 2022.
