The goal of this initiative is to support the recruitment of international PhD students. Applicants must submit a project report to the International Cooperation Center within six weeks of the completion of the project. The grant consists of a monthly bursary of 1,300 Euro (maximum three months) and a travel allowance.

Eligibility criteria
To qualify for the Free University of Berlin Test Scholarships, you are required to meet the following criteria:

  1. Applicants must be international students
  2. Applicants must be a professor of education
  3. Applicants must submit a project report to the International Cooperation Center within six weeks of the completion of the project.

Application Procedures
How to Apply: Funding applications can only be submitted by experts from the Free University of Berlin. Please send  application form, a CV of the prospective PhD candidate, and a working program for the stay at Freie Universität to Hans-Martin Meis, hans-martin.meis@fu-berlin.de.

  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to submit a CV.
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must meet the formal PhD requirements of the university and submit a project report to the Center for International Cooperation within six weeks of project completion.

  • TOEFL PBT – 450 to 500
