More About the Chick Evans Scholarship For Caddies

In 1930 for the eligible students, the Western Golf Association and famed amateur golfer Charles “Chick” Evans Jr. founded the Evans Scholars Foundation for those eligible candidates who are wanted to get this wonderful scholarship. The mission of the Foundation was to provide full tuition and college scholarships to caddies with limited financial means for those students so come and join this as soon as possible.

Evans Scholarship Houses

The foundation sends Evans Scholars to 18 major universities across the country for the students in the Chick Scholarship. They live and work together in the community for the students; each section chooses its own officers, leads social and service activities and participates in programs on campus for the students in the Chick Scholarship.

To qualify, interested caddies must meet the following requirements so read it carefully:

• Strong caddie record: Applicants must have caddied, successfully and regularly, for a minimum of two years, Also, they must be a caddie are eligible for the Chick Scholarship
• Excellent academics record: Candidates must have completed their junior year of high school with an average higher than B are eligible for the Chick Scholarship
• Demonstrated financial need: Applicants must clearly state their need for financial assistance are eligible for the Chick Scholarship.
  Outstanding character: Candidates must be exceptional in character, integrity, and leadership are eligible for the Chick Scholarship.

Application Timetable For the  Scholarship

Below are important dates aspiring Evans Scholars are to take note of for the students:

August 1: Application available online. Check the information on the website for this scholarships.

October 1: The CSS financial aid profile is available for the students. Notwithstanding, applicants are to complete the CSS Profile online and send it to CSS with the required fee as soon as possible so come and join the Chick  Scholarship. The CSS code for the Evans Scholars Foundation is 0153 for the students.

Also, you can file the FAFSA online on October 1 for the students.

October 30: Caddies must complete applications, including all supporting documentation for this scholarship.
