If your household qualifies or free or reduced-priced lunch in the Step Up Scholarship Plat Form for the eligible students, your students may be eligible to receive a state-supported scholarship to a private school so come and join this scholarships as soon as possible. The program, called the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship, was created in 2001 for the students also try for the Step Up Scholarship. Step Up For Students manages the program for the students who are interested to join this platform.
The scholarship is based on income and not on the academic performance of the student or public school for the students in the Step Up Scholarship. The scholarship helps pay tuition at more than 1,500 participating private schools statewide for the students in the Step Up Scholarship; a separate transportation scholarship is available to attend a public school in another county for the students in the Step Up Scholarship

When Step Up For Students is accepting applications for the income-based scholarship families must complete an online application AND submit the required supporting documentation for the students in the Step Up Scholarship.
- Paystubs (30 consecutive days closest to when you submit your application for the students in the Step Up Scholarship.
- Proof of residency for all members in the household (I.E.- health insurance, Medicaid, income documentation, utility bills, court custody documents or residential lease listing household members) for the students in the Step Up Scholarship
- Any other sources of income (i.e. – unemployment benefits, social security benefits, child support benefits, etc.) for the students in the Step Up Scholarships
- Driver’s license or passport for primary and secondary parents for the students in the Step Up Scholarships
Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis in the order all required documents are received for the students in the Step Up Scholarships
Lower-income families have priority for the students in the Step Up Scholarships
Application processing times vary depending on the volume of applications received by Step Up For Students and can take up to three weeks in some cases for the students in the Step Up Scholarships. If approved for a Florida Tax Credit Scholarship, log into your account and click on Application Status to print the award letter for each awarded student for the students in the Step Up Scholarships
If you are using the income-based scholarship – private school option Commitment Form for your student to let us know your child is attending their school on the scholarship for the students in the Step Up Scholarships.

Eligibility Requirements
To qualify applicants must:
1.Be an active MCC student enrolled in any English language training courses are eligible for the Step Up Scholarship;
2.Be in a good academic and financial standing with the College are eligible for the Step Up Scholarships;
3.Pass Intermediate, High-Intermediate, Advanced, or Professional English classes at MCC, or have a
Camila test score of C1 or higher are eligible for the Step Up Scholarships;
4.Have been accepted to enroll in any Associate of Applied Science programs are eligible for the Step Up Scholarships;
5.Complete the personal statement explaining how the English language training they received at MCC
helped them to advance their education to the next level are eligible for the Step Up Scholarships;
