Merit scholarships and additional tuition waivers for foreign students in vocational education aim to support the internationalization of vocational education centers for the students to come and join the Quebec Scholarship, to offer exceptionally talented foreign students the opportunity to come and complete vocational training in Québec for the students, to improve the permanent offer and broad coverage of vocational education for the students in the Quebec Scholarship.The Québec Merit Scholarship and Tuition Fee Waiver are focused exclusively on vocational training for the students in the Quebec Scholarship, i.e. short courses that focus on learning skills directly related to the labor market. These two programs (Scholarships of Excellence and Tuition Waiver) are funded by the Ministry of Education of Quebec (MEQ) and administered by Education International and its Québec Métiers d’Alene service so the students who are eligible for the Quebec Scholarship apply here before the deadline. A single selection procedure is conducted for both programs for the students in the Quebec Scholarship. Merit Scholarship

  • Exemption from supplementary tuition fees payable by international students so come and apply here for the Que Scholarship;
  • Health insurance coverage is provided by the Reggie de assurance maladies du Québec (RAMQ) and applies here in the Que Scholarship;
  • Bursary awards ranging from CAD 14 000 to CAD 26 000 depending on the duration of the chosen training program apply here in the Quebec Scholarship, to cover the student’s living expenses during his or her studies apply here in the Que Scholarship.

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship program, you must read all this:

  • Not have Canadian citizenship or a Canadian permanent resident status or be in the process of obtaining permanent residence status under the Canadian immigration laws for the students in the Que Scholarship.
  • Be outside of Canada at the time of submitting your application and up till the announcement of results for the students in the Que Scholarship.
  • Not be less than 18 years of age in the Quebec Scholarship. There is no maximum age limit for this scholarship.
