Sol Plaatje Educational Project and Canon Collins Trust will provide funding for up to a maximum of two years for Masters and three years for PhD all the candidates must get enrolled in this world best university and avail the Canon Collins Sol Plaatje Scholarships. Continued funding depends upon satisfactory progress and academic reports for the eligible candidates in the Canon Collins Sol Plaatje Scholarships.

But applications that clearly do not fall within these areas for the students so some fields are given to the students(for example MBAs, medical sciences, sports sciences and applied sciences) will not be considered for an award for the eligible candidates.
In 2023, climate justice will be a priority for the eligible candidates. Climate Justice related scholarship applications may be in a science for the students or applied science field as long as the application can demonstrate its relevance to climate justice related matters for the students in the Canon Collins Sol Plaatje Scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Canon Collins Sol Plaatje Scholarships so read all the main points
- Applicants must be a national of, or have refugee status in, one of the following countries: Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe are eligible for the Canon Collins Sol Plaatje Scholarships
- Applicants must be normally resident in one of the above countries are eligible for the Canon Collins Sol Plaatje Scholarships
- Applicants must be in possession of a good first degree (minimum second class, upper division or equivalent) or about to graduate in the year of application are eligible for the Canon Collins Sol Plaatje Scholarships
- Applicants must be studying or applying to study at a South African university are eligible for the Canon Collins Sol Plaatje Scholarships

In 2023, we will be making awards only to those studying in three areas so these countries are eligible for this:
- Justice, which includes Climate Justice, Law, Economics and Politics for this scholarships
- Education policy and practice for this scholarships
- Humanities, which includes Literature, History, Anthropology and the Arts for this scholarships
