Admissions Process
For Missionary Kids
Submit an application and read up on MK information for Brown University For International Students.
For International Students
Step 1
Complete an online application and submit a $25 application fee for John Brown University For International Students.
Step 2
International students must submit an official transcript from their high school and/or college for the John University For International Students. The Transcript must be translated into English by the John University For International Students. To be considered official, a transcript must be mailed directly to JBU from the issuing school and must be signed and stamped in the John University For International Students.

Step 3
Students must submit an internationally recognized standardized test score to the John Brown University For International Students. Scores must be sent from the testing organization in the John Brown University For International Students. These are the tests and scores that we accept for admission to the John Brown University For International Students
When you register for the ACT or SAT, simply request that your scores be sent to JBU in the John Brown University For International Students.
- JBU’s ACT code is 0130 for students.
- JBU’s SAT code is 6321 for students.
After the test date, you may request additional scores for students:
- ACT – American College Testing for students
- SAT – The College Board for students
Step 4
An academic reference is required for the students. The academic reference should be filled out by someone with knowledge of your academic background (guidance counselor, professor, school administrator, etc.) in the John University For International Students
Step 5
After students are accepted, they need to do the following in order for JBU to issue an I-20 in the Brown University For International Students:

Step 6
You must submit a health form and immunization records prior to enrollment for the students at the Brown University
You will be notified in early April if you have been awarded to the John University For International Students. For more information, see JBU’s page on International Financial Aid.
